But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive and I expected more.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the blip. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen foods as compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers a ton of customization options. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when your fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill which is an option that is available in a handful of other GE fridges that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water remains, but it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like it's a seamless part of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and dual compressors to preserve food. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low water usage. This fridge is perfect for a single family or a kitchenette that wants a built-in appearance and top-of-the line food preservation.

The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never changed by more than a fraction, this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for top-of-the-line appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app allows you to monitor and control your fridge from your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is expensive however, it offers excellent features and functions at a fair price.

While the fridge is an amazing appliance but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It has a narrow shelf space, so you may have to think creatively when storing tall objects. Also, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. The other issue we have with the doors of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to guide shut without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a excellent option for those looking to combine the benefits of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, making it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
