World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost the rarity of an item or mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.

It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can use since PvP is not available at lower levels. Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.

Using the item level can help players compare the potency of gear when choosing to buy or sell. It's a measure of the damage and its quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller is possible using the item level.

On your PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the full description of the item, including its value. It is also accessible by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are many theories about how the item level is determined. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula that determines the value of an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can lead to a calculated item's ilvl that is often very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

However, this isn't the only factor that affects an item's ilvl, as the level of the region the item is dropped into can alter the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its crit rating or haste rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher value.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats on a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification which are then boosted by the player's level.

Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats of the item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers will be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Another method of altering the stats on an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an additional name to the item.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges as with other methods of rerolling.

Players can upgrade an item to specific stats or reroll attaches. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive item, or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. Like the base equipment, this will have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items and the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade Item items. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more useful in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. They can also be increased by using anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck or to increase the luck of the item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased at the store or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to boost their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item, the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..

The success of an item upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. All items have an average success rate of 25%, and every item level upgrade with Luck increases that chance by five percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Best item upgrade Upgrader CORE client config.
